The rectangular shape and depth of the Shinju tray Big, is ideal for different storage purposes, or as a decorative object with a branch or set of dry flowers. Shinju, the Japanese word for Pearl, is a collection of trays carried on ceramic pearls. Differentiating in size and positioned sporadically, the pearls adds a certain lightness and becomes a jewellery-like detail. The surface is glazed by hand in order to achieve a unique surface texture. Therefore, the colours may vary slightly.

Our ceramic is elevated through hand painting, where layers of pigment are carefully applied by skilled artisans. This process creates subtle variations in tone, texture, and detail, ensuring that no two pieces are ever alike. The result is a material that combines resilience with individuality practical enough for everyday use, yet refined enough to stand as an object of art.
