Born by the creative flair of Mendini, this corkscrew is an ironic and transformational self-portrait which embodies the playful yet sophisticated spirit of its author. Dressed in a yellow and black chequered suit, it does not go unnoticed: 'the chequer pattern is a puzzling, enigmatic one, particularly when yellow and black', Mendini observed, 'it has the strength to structure any shape, harnessing it in a hypnotic mesh, also susceptible to virtual deformations.'
