Regular cleaning by vacuuming. Always vacuum in the same direction as the rug pile, but not with the brush head out. We advise against any use of vacuum cleaners with rotating brushes, as these may damage the rug. Do not remove stains with water as this can cause discolouration on the rug. The rug should be flat-washed by a professional rug cleaning company. Most new rugs will lose pile which is completely normal. Excess pile should be removed from the rug as it appears. Heavy furniture on the rug may leave the pile flat. This is a normal characteristic for pile rugs. Please note that the colours may fade if the rug is exposed to strong sunlight for an extended period. We recommend underlay to avoid discolouration.
